Answer:

5 chairs -  8 tables = 150

384

Step-by-step explanation:

8 chairs +150 = 5 tables

5 chairs - 8 tables = 150

1 chair = 240 Rs

8 X 240 + 150 = 5 tables

1920 = 5 tables

1920/5 = 1 table

1 table = 384

Answer:

Let the cost of 1 table  =Rs x

Let the cost of 1 chair = Rs y

cost of 5 tables = Rs 5x

cost of 8 chairs = Rs 8y

According to question,

5 x− 8y = 150

Put y  = 240, we get

5x − 8 × 240  = 150

⇒5x= 150 + 1920 = 2070

x= 414

So, cost of 1 table  = Rs 414
