if the cost of construction is rs12 per square metre the cost of constructing two roads of 2m width each running in a rectangular plot of 60×40m, intersecting at right angle is​

Road with 2m iss around the rectangular plot (60*40); (L*W);

Constructing road around the rectangular plot so total construction area = (60+2+2)*((40+2+2) - (60*40);

Because the width of the road is 2 m.

= 64*44 - 60*40

= 2816-2400;

= 416 sq. m is the construction area;

Per square mtr. coas = 12;

Total cost = construction area * per sq. m. cost;

= 416*12;

= Rs. 4992
