            Cost of $\frac{3}{4}$ litre of petrol     =  $\frac{285}{4}$  × $\frac{3}{4}$

                                                        =  $\frac{855}{16}$

                                                        =  Rs 53.4375

                                                        = Rs 53 and 43 paise
