Given:

cost of soap = 23.50 ( y )

no.of soap = 1 ( x )

constant ( k ) = ?

this proportion is direct proportion

so,

direct proportion is

y = Kx

k = y /x

k = 23.50 / 1

k = 23.50

new x is 10

now we have to find new y

y = Kx

y = 23.50 × 10

y = 235

cost of 10 soaps will be 235 .
