Given that

Rate of painting a cubical block=Rs.2.50/cm^2

Cost of painting cubical block
=Rs.1500

AREA OF CUBE=COST OF PAINTING THAT CUBE/RATE OF PAINTING A CUBICAL BLOCK

AREA=1500/2.50

AREA=1500×100/250

AREA=600cm^2

TSA of Cube=6a^2

600=6a^2

a^2=100
a=10cm

Hope it helps.

600cm^2 is the surface area and 10cm is the edge of the woodblock.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that,

The cost of painting a cubical block of wood = Rs. 1500

Rate = Rs. 2.50 per cm^2

The surface area of the cube = 1500/2.50

= 600 cm^2

We know that,

TSA of the cube = 600 cm^2

∵ The surface area of cube = 6a^{2}

600cm^2 = 6a^{2}

\sqrt{100} = a

10cm = a
