Given

  • CP of 10 articles = SP of 8 particles

To find

  • Gain or Loss percent

Solution

☯ Let the cost price of each article be ₹ x

According to the question,

  • CP of 8 particles = ₹ 8x
  • SP of 8 particles = CP of 10 particles = ₹ 10x

☯ Since, SP > CP, 10x > 8x, there is a gain

  • Gain = SP - CP
  • Gain = 10x - 8x
  • Gain =  2x
  • Gain % = Gain/CP × 100
  • Gain % = 2x/8x × 100
  • Gain % = ²⁄₈ × 100
  • Gain % = 25

☯ ∴ There is a Gain of 25 %
