GIVEN:-

Let the CP of 1 chair be x

CP of 10 chairs = 10x

SP of 16 chairs = 10x

SP of 1 chair = 10x/16 = 5x/8

FORMULA TO FIND LOSS :-

$\sf \: Loss = CP - SP$

SOLVING BY APPLYING THE FORMULA:-

$\rightarrow \sf \: x - \frac{5}{8} x$

$\rightarrow \sf \: \frac{8x - 5x}{8}$

$\rightarrow \sf \: \frac{3x}{8}$

FORMULA TO FIND LOSS PERCENT:

$\sf\frac{loss}{cp} \times 100$

SOLVING BY APPLYING THE FORMULA:-

$\rightarrow \sf \: \frac{ \frac{3x}{8} }{x} \times 100$
