Assume the cost price of 4 pencils be Rs. 12
C.P. of 1 pencil = Rs. 12÷4 = Rs. 3
According to question ,
CP OF 4 PENCILS=S.P. OF 3 PENCILS
sp of 1 pencil=rs.12÷3=rs4
profit =sp-cp= rs4-rs 3 = rs.1
profit percentage = profit/cp × 100 percent
= rs.1÷rs4 ×100percent
=0.25 × 100 percent
= 25 percent

Answer:

let the c.p of 1 pencil=₹100

therefore cp of 4 pencils=₹400

₹400=S.p of 3 pencil(as per the ques.)

therefore Sp of 1 pencil=₹133.3

profit=sp-cp=₹133.3-₹100=₹33.3

profit%=profit/cp×100=33.3/100×100=33.3%

ans.= 33.3%

smaran052: correct
