Let us take CP of one article Rs. 10

So, 10 articles = Rs. 100

Since,

CP of 10 articles= Rs. 100,

SP of 12 will also be Rs. 100

So, the person sells one article at Rs 8.33

While the person buys one article at Rs. 10 and sells at Rs. 8.33, he obviously made a loss as CP>SP.

Loss%=Loss/CP × 100

= 1.67/10×100

= 16.7%
