Answer :-

  • Area of the square is 64cm².

Given :-

  • Diagonal of a square is 8√2cm.

To Find :-

  • Area of the square.

Solution :-

Here

  • Diagonal of the square is 8√2cm.

As we know that

Diagonal of a square = √2 × side

Now

⇒ 8√2 = √2 × side

⇒ side = 8√2/√2

⇒ side = 8cm

As we know that

Area of a square is side²

According to question :-

⇒ Area of the square = side²

⇒ Area of the square = (8)²

⇒ Area of the square = 64cm²

Hence, the area of the square is 64cm².
