as we know area of rhombus =1/2 *product of diagonals
now
let the diagonal be x
then
area =1/2*x^2 .......(1)
(since the area of square when the diagonal is given =1/2(diagonal)^2
area=1/2*x^2........(2)
again
eqn 1 =2
hence proved
