if the diagonals of a rhombus are 12 cm and 16cm,find the length of its side.

Given : d1 = 12cm and d2= 16cm Now, perimeter= 2√[(d1)^2+(d2)^2]

=2√[(12)^2+(16)^2]cm

=2√[144+256]cm

=2√400 cm

=2√(20)^2 cm

2×20 cm = 40 cm

We know that, Perimeter of rhombus is also : 4 × side

Therefore, 4×s = 40 cm

Therefore, side = 40/4 cm =10cm{Ans}
