if the diameter of a semi circular protactor is 14 cm then find its perimeter

Given ,

diameter=d=14 cm

so , radius=r=d/2=14/2=7 cm

Now,

perimeter of a circle=2(pi)r

perimeter of half circle=2(pi)r/2=(pi)r

Semi circular protractor is a half circle

Therefore , perimeter=(pi)(7)

                                   = (22/7)(7)

                                   = 22cm
