Given,

The length of the cylinder is 140 centimetres

The diameter of the cylinder is 8 centimetres

To find,

The curved surface area, total surface area and volume of the cylinder.

Solution,

First of all we have to calculate the radius of the cylinder.

Radius = Diameter/2 = 8/2 = 4 cm

Base circumference = 2×π×4 = 8 × 22/7 = 176/7 = 25.14 cm

Base area = π×(4)² = 22/7 × 16 = 50.28 cm²

Volume = Base area × length = 50.28 × 140 = 7039.2 cm³

Curved surface area = Base circumference × Height

= 25.14 × 140

= 3519.6 cm²

Total surface area = CSA + (2× base area)

= 3519.6 + (2×50.28)

= 3519.6 + 100.56

= 3620.16 cm²

Hence, the volume of the cylinder is 7039.2 cm³, curved surface area of cylinder is 3519.6 cm² and total surface area of the cylinder is 3620.16 cm².
