Solution

Here, diameter of cylinder = 28 cm.

⟿ Radius = Diameter/2

⟿ Radius = 28/2

Radius = 14 cm.

We know that,

➥ CSA of cylinder = 2πrh

Putting values we get :

⟼ CSA of cylinder = 2 × 22/7 × 14 × 20

⟼ CSA of cylinder = 2 × 22 × 2 × 20

⟼ CSA of cylinder = 4 × 440

CSA of cylinder = 1760 cm²

Therefore,

Curved surface area of cylinder = 1760 cm² .
