If the diameter of the Earth becomes two times its present value and its mass remains unchanged, then how would the weight of an object on the surface of the Earth be affected?

vaueIt would reduce by 4 times.
Since W = mg and mg is a Force. Force α 1/r²
Since r is increased by at factor of 2, (2r)^2  would give us 4r^2. Therefore it become 1/4 of its present value.
