If the difference between 2 supplementary angles is 40 then find the angles

let the angles be
x \: and \: y

x - y = 40
x + y = 180
solving we get
2x = 220
x = 110
then
y = 70

let the two angles be X and Y(X>Y).

X+Y=180° ---->(1)
X-Y=40 ---->(2)

from (1)-(2).
2Y=140
Y=70°
X+Y=180°
X+70°=180
X=110°
