let the length be x , then breadth = x-30
perimeter= 100m=10000cm
so, 2(l+b)=10000
2( x+x-30)=10000
2(2x-30)=10000
2x-30=10000/2=5000
2x= 5000+30
2x= 5030
x= 5030/2
x= 2515 cm= 25.15 m
and breadth= 25.15- 0.3=24.85 cm

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Concept:

Definition of length:

The measurement or size of something from end to end is referred to as its length. To put it another way, it is the greater of the higher two or three dimensions of a geometric shape or object. For instance, the length and width of a rectangle define its dimensions.

Definition of breadth:

The term "breadth" refers to a shape's width and represents the space between its right and left sides. We multiply a shape's two dimensions, such as its breadth or width and its height or length, to determine the area, or how much room there is inside of it.

Definition of perimeter:

The complete length of a shape's boundary is referred to as the perimeter in geometry. A shape's perimeter is calculated by adding the lengths of all of its sides and edges. Its dimensions are expressed in linear units like centimeters, meters, inches, and feet.

                      perimeter of the rectangle = 2( l + b)

Given:

difference between length and breadth of rectangle is 30 cm

length =x

breadth= x-30

perimeter= 100m

Find:

length, breadth

Solution:

let  length be x ,

given  breadth = x-30

 1m = 100cm

perimeter= 100m

               = 10000cm

perimeter of the rectangle = 2( l +b)

2(l +b)=10000

2( x+x-30)=10000

2(2x-30)=10000

2x-30=\frac{10000}{2}

2x-30 =5000

2x= 5000+30

2x= 5030

x= \frac{5030}{2}

x=2515cm

x=25.15m

breadth=x-30

            =2515-30

            =2485cm

            =24.85m

Hence length = 25.15m and breadth = 24.85m
