Answer:

Sum Borrowed = 7500

Step-by-step explanation:

If the difference between the ci and si for 2 years at 12 percentage pa compound annually is 108 find the sum borrowed

Difference of Rs 108 inetrest is because of Interest on Interest Earned on 1st Year in Compound interest

=>  interest 1 year * 12 * 1 /100  = 108

=>  interest for 1 st year = 900

P * 12 * 1 / 100 = 900

=> P = 7500

Sum Borrowed = 7500

Verification

SI = 7500 * 12 * 2 /100 = 1800

CI = 7500 * (( 1 + 12/100)² - 1) = 1908

Difference = 1908 - 1800 = 108
