Let the larger angle be x
and smaller angle be y
• Angle are supplementary
x + y = 180
x = 180 - y ..... ( i )
• Difference is 80
x - y = 80 ....( ii )
Putting value of x from ( i ) in ( ii )
x - y = 80
180 - y - y = 80
- 2y = 80 - 180
- 2y = - 100
y = 50
Putting in ( i )
x = 180 - y
x = 180 - 50
x = 130
Larger angle :- 130°
Smaller angle :- 50°
and smaller angle be y
