the given

difference between two side =2

height - base =2

height = 2+base

let base = x

so height = x+2

area of rectangle triangle = 24

1/2×base ×height=24

1/2× X × (X+2)=24

X(X+2)= 24×2

X^2+2x=48

{x}^{2} + 2x - 48 = 0

{x}^{2} + (8 - 6)x - 48 = 0

{x }^{2} + 8x - 6x - 48 = 0

x(x + 8) - 6(x + 8) = 0

(x + 8)(x - 6) = 0

x - 6 = 0

x = 6

so base = 6

height = 6+2=8 answer
