Complementary angle are those whose sum is 90°
x+y=90°
x=90°-y -------(i)

x-y=70°
Put the value of x=90°-y
x-y=70°
90°-y-y=70°
So y=10°
So, x=90°-y
x=90-70
x=20°
So, y is the bigger angle
