no if displacement is zero it is not necessarily that the distance is also zero.
When the body is in circular motion, it's displacement is zero as it returns to the same place from where it started but in this case distance travelled is not zero..

No,it is not necessary that if displacement is zero then distance travelled is also zero.....
Examples-
1) When the body is in circular motion, it's displacement is zero as it returns to the same place from where it started but in this case distance travelled is not zero..
2)When the object returns to tue same place from where it had started it's motion.The distance travelled in this case is also not zero.....
