If the distance between a compression and an adjacent rarefaction is 68 m, what is the wavelength? Explain please.

Sound is a longitudinal wave. Instead of having crests, it analogously has compressions. Instead of having troughs, it analogously has rarefactions. 

Simply use this analogy to convince yourself that the answer is 3.0 meters.
