if the distance between two points A(x, -1) b(1, 15) is 10 find the value of x.

By distance formula

we have ,

√(x2 -x1 )^2 + (y2 -y1)^2 = AB

√ (1-x)^2 + {15-(-1)}^2 = 10

on squaring both sides

(1-x)^2 +(15+1)^2 = 100

1 + x^2 - 2x + 256 -100 = 0

x^2 -2x + 157 = 0

sry the question is wrong
