(by using distance formula)

 \sqrt{( {5 - x)}^{2}  +  {(1 - y)}^{2} }  =   \sqrt{ {( - 1 - x)}^{2}  +  {(5 - y)}^{2} }

(squaring both sides)

 ( {5 - x)}^{2}  +  {(1 - y)}^{2}   =  ( - 1 - x)^{2}  +  {(5 - y)}^{2}

 {5}^{2}  +  {x}^{2}  - 10x +  {1}^{2}  +  {y}^{2}  - 2y =   { 1}^{2}  +  {x}^{2}  + 2x +  {5}^{2}  +  {y}^{2}  - 10y

- 10x   - 2y =   2x   - 10y

- 5x   - y =   x   - 5y

4y = 6x

2y = 3x

Hence Proved
