Let initial rate was 100

Now, 40% decrement in duty,

rate = 100−40=60

To make their revenue 100, consumption must be increase of 40.

So, % increment =

60

(40×100) = 200/3 %

but here revenue is increased by 10%

so,we have to add 10% in increment

200 \div 3 + 10 \div 100 \times 200 \div 3 = 210 \div 3

200/3+10%of200/3

200/3+10/100×200/3

200/3+20/3

220/3

so the answer is 200/3

Answer:

200/3

Step-by-step explanation:

Let initial rate was 100

Now,40% decrement in duty,

rate=100-40=60

To make their revenue 100, consumption must be increase of 40.

So,%increment=40/60*100

=200/3%
