Given:-

if the edge of a cube is 5 cm, then find () Lateral surface area (ii) Total surface area

ẞØLÛTÏØÑ:-

edge of a cube=5 cm

lateral surface area =2×(5×5+5×5)cm²

=2×(25+25)cm²

=2×50cm²=100 cm²

total surface area of the cube=2(5×5+5×5+5×5) cm²=2×75 cm²=150 cm²

Answer:

All edges are of equal length in a square

let us call the edge 'a' for now.

Then a = 5cm

Lateral Surface area is given by : 4a squared

=4 x 5 x 5

= 100cmsquared

TSA of square is given by :6a squared

=6 x 5 x 5

=150cm squared
