If the edge of a cube is trebled ,what will be the change in the surface area

According to given sum,

let the side of cube be a . so surface area of cube is

tsa = 6 {a}^{2}
side is trippled . so the new edge is 3a.

new surface area is

 =  >  \: 6 ({3a})^{2}
 =  > 6 \times 9 {a}^{2}
 =  > 9 \times (6 {a}^{2} )
 =  > 9 \times tsa

Hence , if edge is trippled. then the surface area will become 9 times.
