Given : element of a 2 × 3 matrix is given by aij  = 1/2(3i -4j)

To Find : value of a₂₃

Solution:

aij  = 1/2(3i -4j)

a₂₃

i = 2

j = 3

= (1/2) ( 3*2 - 4*3)

= (1/2)(6 - 12)

= (1/2)(-6)

= - 3

a₂₃ = - 3
