Solution :

Given Equation : 8x² + 3kx + 2 .

here : a = 8 , b = 3k , c = 2 .

By using Quadratic formula :

b² - 4ac = 0

Substituting values , we get

(3k)² - 4(8)(2) = 0

9k² - 4(16) = 0

9k² = 64

 {k}^{2}  =  \frac{64}{9}  \\  \\  \\

k \:  = ±  \sqrt{ \frac{64}{9} }  \\  \\  \\

Answer:

+ or - 8/3

Step-by-step explanation:

a = 8

b = 3k

c = 2

b^{2}  - 4ac

9k^2 - (4*8*2)

9k^2 - 64

k^2 = 64/9

k = + or - 8/3
