Hey friend!! here is your answer
_______________________________
⭕️ Condition for equal roots is b^2-4ac=0
✔️a=k , b=-2k & c=6
✅(-2k)^2-4(k)(6)=0
✅4k^2-24k=0
✔️4k^2=24k
✔️4k^2/k=24
✅4k=24
✔️k=24/4
⭕️k=6

For equal roots,
b^2 - 4ac = 0
Here, p(x) = kx^2 - 2kx + 6
a = k , b = -2k , c = 6
b^2 - 4ac = 0
(-2k)^2 - 4(k)(6) = 0
4k^2 - 24k = 0
k(4k - 24) = 0
4k - 24 = 0
4k = 24
k = 24/4
k = 6
