Answer:

\frac{1}{5}(5x-1)=8x+1

\implies 5x-1 =5(8x+1)

\implies 5x-1 =40x+5

\implies -5-1 =40x-5x

\implies -6=35x

\implies x = \frac{-6}{35}

 Value \: of \:the \: expression \\ \frac{1}{5}(5x-1)=\frac{1}{5}\times \left( 5\times \frac{-6}{35}-1\right)

=\frac{1}{5}\times \left( \frac{-6}{7}-1\right)

=\frac{1}{5}\times \left( \frac{-6-7}{7}\right)\\=\frac{-13}{35}\:--(1)

 Value \: of \:the \: expression \\(8x+1)=8\times \frac{-6}{35}+1\\=\frac{-48}{35}-1\\=\frac{-48+35}{35}\\=\frac{-13}{35}\:---(2)
