If the figure, line AB || Side QR,

PA = 2, AQ = 3. PB = 4 and BR = x then find the value of x.

Answer:

In ΔPQR, line AB ║ side QR

∴by basic proportionality theorem,

∴PA/AQ=PB/BR

∴2/3=4/x

∴x=3×4/2

∴x=6.
