Answer:

Fused bulb : If the filament of the bulb is broken, the circuit is not completed and hence the current can not flow. ... When a bulb gets fused, it does not light up.

Answer:

If the filament of the bulb is broken then the circuit would be incomplete and the bulb will not glow.

Explanation:

If it was working when it broke, then it would still glow for several tens of milliseconds until the filament cools down.

I have seen bulbs fail where the broken ends come back into contact as the bulb cools, allowing current to flow and warm it up again. In one case, this caused the bulb to flicker at about 7 Hz as the warming filament ends parted again and the cycle repeated.

I have also seen a section of filament break off and fall inside the envelope making contact with both electrodes. As the section had a lower impedance (because it was shorter), it lit up very brightly for a few seconds before it vaporized. I have also seen this blow supply fuses or trip circuit breakers.

Generally, when the filament is broken the bulb no longer does anything.
