If the final divisor is 17 and the quotient is 17 and 2 is 1,11,2 respectively, after finding the MPC of two numbers by the dividing method, what will be the sum of those numbers?
(A) 833 (B) 901 (C) 816 (D) 867

यदि विभाजित विधि द्वारा दो संख्या का म०स०प० ज्ञात करने पर अन्तिम भाजक 17 है और भागफल क्रमशः 1,11,2 है तो उन संख्या का योगफल क्या होगा?
(A)833 (B)901 (C)816 (D)867

❁❁ Refer To Image First .. ❁❁

we will start From Backward ..

Given That, Last Divisor is 17, and Last Quotient is 2.

From image, we get, Two dividend are = 391 and 425 .

So,

Sum of Numbers = 425 + 391 = 816 . (C) (Ans).

Explanation :

Let the three numbers be x, y and z.

Refer to the attachment for division method.

=> Case 1).

Dividend (z) = 17 × 2 => 34

Divisor = 34

quotient = 11

remainder = 17

=> Case 2).

Dividend (x) = 34 × 11 + 17

=> Dividend (x) = 391

Divisor = 391

Quotient = 1

Remainder = 34

=> Case 3).

Dividend = 391 × 1 + 34

=> Dividend = 425

Here, sum of both dividends = 391 + 425

=> Sum = 816

Hence, option c) 816 is correct.
