Solution:

We Know that :

nth term=a+(n−1)d

→2x=x+(n−1)(y−x)

→x=(n−1)(y−x)

→(n−1)= (y−x)x

→n= (y−x) y

Now,Sum of AP= 2n×(First term+Last term)

→Sum= 2(y−x)y ×(x+2x)

→Sum= 2(y−x) 3xy
