Given , First term =a
Common difference = d
Now,
An = a + ( n -1 ) d
=> c = a + (n - 1 ) b - a
=> a + bn - b - an + a = c
=> bn - an + 2a - b = c
=> n( b - a ) = b + c - 2a
=> n = b + c - 2a / b-a
