• The change of state from solid to gas directly is called sublimation.
• Sublimation is common thing found in camphor as well.
• Gases have this special property of spreading through the  whole volume available which is called diffusion of gases.
• This because there is no force of attraction between the gas particles .
• So they dont have a fixed shape and hence diffuse into the open air .
• The smell of the fish could be found due to this property.
