Proper question:

A wheel rotates with the constant acceleration of 2.0 rad/s, if the wheel starts from rest the number of revolution it makes in first ten seconds will be approximately ?

Solution:

For circular angular motion, the formula for angular displacement θ and angular acceleration α is

θ=ωt+ 1/2 at²

θ = 0 × t + 1/2 × 2 × (10) ²

θ = 100

As acceleration is constant so velocity is zero

θ=100 radians

2π radian are covered in 1 revolution.

Thus, 100 radian is covered is covered in 100/2π revolution

Therefore,

Number of revolution = 100/2π

Number of revolution = 50/π = 15.9 ≈ 16

Required answer:

Thus, number of revolution is 16 in first ten seconds
