if the force of 20 N is applied on the wood box and the box move 50 cm then calculate the z give early work done on it ?

GiveN :

  • Force Applied (F) = 20 N
  • Displacement (s) = 50 cm = 0.5 m

To FinD :

  • Work Done on it

Solution :

Use Formula for Work Done :

⇒Work Done = Force * Displacement

⇒W = F.s

⇒W = 20 * 0.5

⇒W = 10

Work Done on wooden block to move is 10 Joule.

  • Work is done, when force is applied on a body and it gets displaced from its position.

  • It is a scalar quantity.

  • SI unit is Joule (J).

  • More units are : ergs, calories, etc.
