The thalamus functions to relay sensory information to the cerebral cortex and the hypothalamus, regulating visceral functionsincluding temperature, reproductive functions, eating, sleeping and the display of emotion.
Therefore these functions will be hampered.

if the forebrain didn't function properly then the ability of hearing,smell,sight and many others sensory parts will be effected..we would not be able to retain our memory..and we can loose our thinking capacity...
