If the government knows that homeopathic medicines and cough syrups contain alcohol then why is it not taking any steps against it???

because they know that alcohol is not harmful for the health if it is used in a small amount . in fact , it is very helpful for our health in fighting against some diseases . hence , it is not banned by the govt. and people should also need to be aware that it is not harmful if it is to be taken in required amount .
