If the gravitational force of earth and the moon is F, what is the gravitational force of moon on earth? Do these forces form an action-reaction pair?

I guess it will be 6F as the mass of the moon is 1/6th of the earth. Please check.

Thank you.

Hii mate,

◆ Answer-
a) F
b) Yes

◆ Explanation-
a) Gravitational force on earth by moon will same as that on moon by earth. i.e. F = GMm/r^2

b) Yes. As both gravitational forces are of same magnitude but in opposite direction, these forces will form a action-reaction pair.

Hope that is useful...
