HCF of 408 x 5(= 2040) & 1032 is expressible in the form 1032m - 408 x 5,

The value of m,

To find HCF,

By using euclid division lemma,

we get ,

=> a = bq + r   (b > r≥0)

=>  2040 = 1032 x 1 + 1008

=> 1032 = 1008 x 1 + 24

=> 1008 = 24 x 42 + 0

=> ∴ HCF = 24,

Applying linear combination,

We get,

=> 24 =  1032m - 408 x 5

=> 24 = 1032m - 2040

=> 24 + 2040 = 1032m

=> 2064 = 1032m

=> m =  \frac{2064}{1032} = 2,
