Given :

  • H.C.F. of two numbers = 4
  • Product of those numbers = 36

To find :

  • L.C.M. of those numbers

Solution :

We know, L.C.M. × H.C.F. (respectively of two numbers) = Product of those two numbers

Thus, L.C.M. = Product of those numbers

H.C.F. of the numbers

= 36/4

= 9

•°• Required L.C.M. = 9

Let us assume that ,

The two numbers are a and b

Given that ,

  • HCF(a,b) = 4
  • a × b = 36

We know that ,

 \large \sf \fbox{ LCM(a,b) =  \frac{a \times b}{HCF(a,b)} }

Thus ,

 \sf \mapsto LCM(a,b) =  \frac{36}{4}  \\  \\ \sf \mapsto LCM(a,b) = 9

 \therefore \sf \underline{The  \: LCM  \: of \:  two  \: numbers  \: is \:  9}
