Answer:

HCF=120

LCM= 340

a=85

b=?

LCM×HCF=a×b

340×120 =85×b

40800/85=b

b=480

Answer:

Given data is not correct.

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that for two numbers, the product of the H.C.F. and L.C.M. of any two numbers is always equal to the product of those two numbers

here  HCF =120

LCM = 340

a =85,  b=?

HCF \times LCM = a\times b\\120 \times 340 = 85 \times b \\b =\frac{120 \times 340}{85} \\b=480

it should be less than 340.

Given data is not correct.

HCF is always a factor of LCM. In this case 120 is not a factor of 340
