ANSWER:-

  • SUM OF ANGLE OF ELEVATION OF SUM IS 45°

DETAILED ANSWER:

Let x be the length of a shadow of a man and y be the height of man.

As per the statement:the length of the shadow of a man is equal to the height of man⇒x = y ----[1]

1]We have to find the angle of elevation(\theta):Using tangent ratio:

[tex]\tan = \frac{\text{Opposite side}}{\text{Adjacent side}}

See the diagram shown below:Opposite side = height of man = y and Adjacent side = length of the shadow of a man = x then;

\tan \theta = \frac{y}{x} ----[2]

Substitute the equation [1] into [2] we get

tan \theta = \frac{x}{x}=1

or

\theta = \tan^{-1}(1) \\ ⇒\theta =45^{\circ}

Therefore, the angle of elevation is 45 degree
