Step-by-step explanation:
let the height of pole be x
then length of shadow=root 3x
angle of elevation=?
let us assume a triangle ABC with right angle at c and angle of elevation is at B
so acc to triangle,
adj=root 3x
opp=x
so we will use tan
so tanB=opp/adj
=x/root3x=tanB (x will cancel)
1/root3=tanB
we know tan 30=1/root3
substitute
tan30 = tan B
tan get cancelled
so B=30 degrees
