Given -

The height of triangle is 8 cm

The base of triangle is 5 cm

To find -

Area of triangle

Solution -

As we know that,

Area of triangle =

 \frac{h \times b}{2}

Where,

h = height of the triangle

b = base of the triangle

By putting the given values in the formula we get

Area of triangle

 =  \frac{8 \times 5}{2}

Area of triangle

 =  \frac{40}{2}

Divide 40 by 2 we get

Area of triangle

 = 20 \:  {cm}^{2}

Hence,

The Area of triangle is 20

 {cm}^{2}
